The Strokes announce new album “Reality Awaits”
The Strokes have officially announced a new album. After preparing fans in recent weeks for the arrival of some news, including websites and subscriptions to messaging services, Julian Casablancas’ band has confirmed their recording comeback.
The group made the announcement with a retro-style teaser video featuring a 1980s Nissan 300ZX and the slogan “In the Flesh, it’s Even Sexier,” confirming that their seventh studio album will be titled “Reality Awaits” and will be released “in the summer.”
The album will be the Strokes’ first studio work in six years, i.e. after 2020’s “The New Abnormal”, a project thanks to which the band won its first Grammy. The New York band will perform next weekend at Coachella. Additionally, they will be headlining Bonnaroo and Outside Lands over the summer.
