Ringo Starr biography “Ringo: A Fab Life” released

The life of the now 85 year old Ringo Starr is told in the new biography “Ringo: A Fab Life” written by Tom Doyle: starting from the childhood spent in poverty, moving on from the everlasting fame achieved with the Beatlesto go to the Seventies and Eighties, and even beyond.

This is the statement from the publishing house that published the book: “Often overshadowed by his former bandmates, Starr has an equally extraordinary and compelling personal story. Examining crucial moments, anecdotes and stories, we see Starr achieve success with the most famous band in the world, and then face the difficulties of life outside of rock, including a film career, misadventures with friends, dubbing for children’s television programmes, furniture design and marriage to a Bond girl, before finally finding peace and sobriety as a rock veteran. Much more than a simple biography of the Beatles, “Ringo: A Fab Life” traces Starr’s career well beyond the 1960s, marked by an idealized image, through the various addictions and unexpected turns of the 1970s and 1980s, all the way to the 1990s, with his legacy and reputation intact.”
