The Rolling Stones play “Time Is On My Side” after 25 years

THE Rolling Stones last night they performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the second stop on the Hackney Diamonds Tour which began on April 28th in Houston (Read how it went here).

To the delight of the audience present, the Stones performed live after 25 years “Time Is On My Side” played together with the 83-year-old soul singer Irma Thomas. To better consider the exceptional nature of the event, it was the penultimate time that the British band played in concert “Time Is On My Side” dates back to 1982.

he said to the audience: “In 1964, a long time ago, we heard this amazing song by this amazing singer on the radio. We recorded it and it became our first hit in America. The lady who sang this song first was the Soul Queen of New Orleans! Now I'd like to bring her on stage to sing the song with us.”

song included in the group's latest album,
