The Most Amazing Artists to See at the Ferrara Buskers Festival

Sergiu Popa (accordion), Noemy Brown (cello), Naeem Shanwar (qanun), Omar Abou Afach (purple) and Dan Armenian (guitar, vocals) play Syrian and Romani folk music. Lupa Project it’s the stage name Of Mariano Morales López, multi-instrumentalist Spanish who for his debut album “Tierra y las vías” left inspired by the “croto” movement that in Argentina at the beginning of the 20th century tried to evoke landscapes, characters and stories of the time through music: with his Loop Station López creates enveloping and captivating rhythmic carpets. From New York here come the The Positive Brothers, break dance group capable of making the show a real experience, while from France here is Eric Tarantulawhich will lead the spectators on an extraordinary journey through music composed of drums, an old patched-up trombone, a guitar and a banjo. paradise for street musicians and fans of this fascinating world. Now in its 37th edition, the event will take place this year from 21st to 25th August in the Emilian city, with a preview in Comacchio, not far from Ferrara, on August 18th.
The open-air stage of over 1000 sqm in the heart of Ferrara (between the suggestive Corso Ercole d’Este and the Quadrivio degli Angeli) will host a total of 180 performances and 10 hours of entertainment every day. Beyond 950 applications received this year by the organizers to be part of a unique event in the international panorama. The musicians come from the most diverse countries: from Chile to the United Kingdom, passing through Brazil, the Netherlands, Argentina, France, Syria, the Czech Republic (the complete program, with times and all the details on the performances, is available on the official website www.ferrarabuskers.com).
The group that comes from the furthest away? It’s the Yi Seo Band. Shere are 8,975 kilometers that this all-female trio will travel to reach Ferrara. Together they express a trendy Korean music that is based on tradition, without losing sight of modern sensibility and with the spirit of “understanding the old to discover the new”. The beatboxer, on the other hand, will play “at home” JBeat and the opera singer Carolina Cardiniopera singer, both protagonists of the first artistic residency of the Festival carried out in recent months on the Campus of H-FARMtthree days to share your experiences and creative visions, also experimenting with artificial intelligence with which an innovative song was created capable of representing their original union and that they will present during the days of the festival. One of the youngest artists that the spectators of the Ferrara Buskers Festival will be able to meet from 21 to 25 August is also Italian: he is the sixteen-year-old Gabbbriellllreal name Gabriel Campolongo, originally from
from Riva del Garda, with piano and violin studies at the conservatory.
The frequenters of the Ferrara Buskers Festival will also find in the Emilian city historical buskers. I Cosmonautsfor example, who with their mix of Eastern European folk music and elements of ska, punk, rock and pop will make the audience dance. The pass 1-Day Full Pass to spend a whole day in Ferrara costs 11 (plus presale fees), to be used on a date of your choice: the price is 8 euros for people aged 13 to 18, disabled, over 65, accompanying person of 1 child aged 0 to 12.
