The Milanesiana has announced the 2024 calendar
The calendar of La Milanesiana has been announced, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. The event conceived and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi gives space to multiple disciplines: literature, music, cinema, science, art, philosophy, theatre, law, economics, sport and comics. Below is the program and events relating to music.
On May 20, Paolo Fresu inaugurates the 25th edition by receiving the SIAE/La Milanesiana Award and performing in concert at the Piccolo Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan together with the pianist Rita Marcotulli.
On May 23rd in Viareggio, for the event “Dreams Have No Age: Between Trees, Dreams, Children” Cristina d'Avena and Gem Boy will perform.
On May 26th in Forlì, in collaboration with ForlìMusica, 100 years of music will be celebrated in Forlì with the Amici dell'Arte association and the world premiere concert by Raphael Gualazzi, accompanied by the ForliMusicaOrchestra which will be repeated on July 13th in Cervia with the participation of Danilo Rossi. Raphael Gualazzi will return to La Milanesiana in concert also on 5 June in Milan, on 18 June in Pavia and on 9 August in St. Moritz for the closing date.
The Milanesiana returns to Milan on May 30th at the Parenti Theater with Paola Turci together with Enrico Rotelli for the concert-show tribute to Fernanda Pivano “Nanda and I”.
On June 7th, a concert by guitarist Renato Caruso will be held at the Centrale dell'Acqua MM. On the same day, in the evening, at the Piccolo Teatro Paolo Grassi the concert by Danilo Rossi and Stefano Bezziccheri “Jewish Suite”.
On June 10th the pianist Giuseppina Torre will perform at the SpazioBIGSantaMarta.
On June 12th at the Volvo Studio Milan the protagonist is Rocco Tanica in a musical trio, between words and music with “How AI is human”.
The following day, again in the same location, the concert by Uri Caine and on June 14th an evening dedicated to Franco Califano with the show by Claudia Gerini & Solis String Quartet “Some summer ago. Life, Poetry and Music of Franco Califano”.
The following day the show “Cetra… una volta” with the Favete Linguis: Stefano Fresi, Emanuela Fresi, Toni Fornari and with the extraordinary participation of Cristiana Polegri, dedicated to the unforgettable Cetra Quartet.
“Note a Margine” will be held on 17 June in Pavia, a concert with Nicola Piovani, winner of the Oscar in 1999, accompanied by Marina Cesari on sax, Marco Loddo on double bass and Vittorino Naso on percussion (a Fondazione Musica per Roma production) .
Irene Grandi performs as a duo on June 25th in Alessandria. Antonio Ballista in concert on June 27th in Milan and again on July 31st (with Bruno Canino).
At the Ventidio Basso Theater in Ascoli Piceno from 1 to 3 July Enrico Ruggeri will perform between words and music, with a show of songs and words that retraces the 40 albums of his extraordinary career told in the forthcoming book “40 lives (without stopping me ever )”, Simone Cristicchi, with the show “Franciscus. The madman who spoke to the birds” and Luca Barbarossa (coming out with the book “Cento Storie per Cento Canzoni”) and Social Band.
On 11 July in Albarella and 27 July in Livigno, Rita Pavone returns as protagonist of La Milanesiana with the concert “A foot in the past and a straight and open gaze into the future”, in Albarella preceded by a dialogue with Matteo Cruccu.
On 14 July in Gatteo A Mare Al Bano talks and performs with his children Yari, Jasmine and Al Bano Jr, 40 years after the victory of “Ci will be” by Al Bano and Romina Power at the Sanremo Festival.
On July 17th in Lugo a great international event will take place: the sounds of the Chilean music of Inti-Illimani meet the sounds and words of the Tuscan singer-songwriter Giulio Wilson for the live presentation of their album “Agua”, recorded between Florence and Santiago de Chile.
On 18 July in Busseto concert by the Lebanese violinist Ara Malikian.
From 22 to 25 July, Piazza del Kuerc in Bormio will be the stage for three unmissable events entitled “Shyness (and its opposites)”: it will begin with readings and a concert by Morgan, preceded by the screening of the short film “Lacci” by Ludovico Polignano . Ron will then be the protagonist of “Chi è di scene”, an engaging concert-show together with Marco Caronna. On the last day, a dialogue between Cochi Ponzoni and the journalist Sara Chiappori will pave the way for “Bird Lives”, a show-concert tribute to Charlie Parker with Cochi Ponzoni & Emilio Soana 5et.
On 26 July in Livigno concert by Fausto Leali. On July 27th again in Livigno, the second act of Rita Pavone's concert “A foot in the past and a straight and open gaze into the future”. On 28 July, again in Livigno, the appointment with Simone Cristicchi and Amara “We'll be back again.
