The Iron Maiden song that Steve Harris would like to play live

The bassist of Iron Maiden Steve Harris in an interview granted to Louder Sound he spoke, among other topics, of the difficulties that arise in selecting songs for the setlist of a tour such as ‘Run For Your Lives’ which celebrates the group’s 50th anniversary. During the chat he revealed the title of a song that he would have been very excited about performing live but which, unfortunately, considering the band’s extensive catalogue, didn’t find space.

This is what the 69-year-old British musician said about the songs of Iron Maiden: “I like them all! It’s hard to choose. There are some songs, like “The Evil That Men Do” (from the 1988 album “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”, ed.), that are not in the set list that I would like to play. But we rattled off ideas and ended up not playing it. It’s difficult to make a set that can cover every period of our career without leaving something out. I guess it’s a good problem to have anyway.”

A stop on the massive tour of the
Iron Maiden
which celebrates their 50 years of activity is also dedicated to Italy and will take place next
June 17 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan
. The tour has
kicked off on May 27 last year
from the Hungarian capital Budapest and so far it has spanned 32 concerts.
