As a preview of the release, the new song “The girl that I call home” is already available for listening. The other bonus tracks included are “Say goodbye to mum and dad”, “Emily said” and “Astronaut”.

“Songs for a nervous planet” collects recordings from the concert series that began in May 2022 after the release of “The Tipping point” (here is our review), the first album of unreleased material from the group formed by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith since 2004’s “Everybody loves a happy ending”. The tour was then extended with the “Tipping Point Tour Part II” in April 2023.

Along with the live album, Tears for Fears have announced a concert film to be recorded in the summer of 2023 at the FirstBank Amphitheater at Graystone Quarry in Franklin, Tennessee. The project, titled “Tears for Fears Live: A Tipping Point Film,” will open in over 1,100 theaters worldwide on October 24, with a theatrical release on October 26.
