David Gilmour: the video for “Luck and strange” with Rick Wright
David Gilmour has released today, September 12, the official video for the title track of his new album “Luck and strange” (here is our review), released last September 6. For the song, the British guitarist has recovered an instrumental track born during some sessions that took place in January 2007 at his farm in West Sussex, and which involved bassist Guy Pratt and drummer Steve DiStanislao, as well as Richard Wright, who passed away the following year. Some images from those sessions, which also portray the late Pink Floyd keyboardist, open the video for “Luck and strange”. The clip is then interspersed with more recent shots of Gilmour, including in the company of his family.
David Gilmour is now busy rehearsing for the upcoming tour in support of his new album. The tour will kick off in Rome at the end of September, before stopping in London, Los Angeles and New York. Gilmour has announced two open rehearsals in Brighton on September 20 and 21.
