Taylor Swift: “I’m tired, no tours”

The necessary premise … are two. One, that the tendency to break down the idols that has contributed to creating is inherent in the media habits. Two, that British journalism is not, let’s say, particularly diplomatic, and when it goes down, it goes badly.
So I did not surprise me the review of Alex Petidis, the flagship signature of the music critic of the “Guardian”, in which the journalist – who assigns two out of five stars – makes slices, almost literally, “The life of a showgirl”.
I refer you here in case you want to read it in full. I only chose a couple of ideas (excluding that relating to the alleged dissing with Charlie XCX, of which we have already said in the past).

Taylor Swift and Pixies

One concerns those who, according to Petridis, are double vulgar senses to indicate the male sexual organ of his boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in “Wood” (here the complete text) called “magic wand”, “hard rock”, “sequoia” – and the final phrase of the text says “his love is the key that opened my legs”. Not very elegant, in fact.
The second, more interesting, is that Petridis writes verbatim: “There is a fantastic sequence of agreements in ‘Actuary Romantic’, but, alas, 37 years ago Frank Black had already used a very similar one for ‘Where is my mind’ of the Pixies, a song that you can literally sing on ‘Actually Romantic'”.
If you want to check the assertion of Petridis, here is below the two songs:

No tour

To stay on the English field, in an interview with BBC Radio 1 Taylor Swift said that there will be no tour following “The Life of a showgirl”. “I will be really honest: I’m so tired, at the thought of doing it again,” explained Swift to the conductor who asked her if she wanted to return to tour. “Because I would like to do it really again, really well. I was able to do the Eras Tour only when I was on tour with the Eras Tour, and it was two years without having other hobbies. And now I have the hobbies again … and I’m making them a problem for everyone,” he said, kidding.
