Talk Talk releases vinyl reissue of “Spirit of Eden”

When i Talk Talk released their fourth album, “Spirit of Eden”in September 1988, even some of their closest fans were taken aback. After establishing themselves with new wave hits such as “Talk Talk” and the classic “It’s My Life”the band led by Mark Hollis changed direction, opening up to new sounds.

In the years following its release, that foray into uncharted territory proved hugely influential and better understood, proving to be a pillar of what would become known as post-rock. The album went on to inspire a wide range of artists, among them we can mention Sigur Rós, Mogwai, Low, Doves and also Radiohead.

Let’s get to the point: next January 23rd
“Spirit of Eden”
will be reissued as a vinyl LP, recorded at half speed by
Matt Colton
at Metropolis and supervised by the drummer
Lee Harris
and by the son of
Mark Hollis
Charlie.
