SZA wins an award from the Songwriters Hall Of Fame

SZA stops: “Stop concerts”

SZA has confirmed that she will be taking a break from live performances “for a while.” The “Kill Bill” singer wrote via X (formerly Twitter) a day after her performance at the Osheaga festival in Montreal, Canada, “Yesterday was my last show for a while. I’m finally getting my life back together, thank God.” SZA’s post comes after the singer-songwriter has held a string of major festival performances across the U.S. and Europe, including a headline performance at Glastonbury. She performed on the Pyramid Stage on June 30, but her set was unfortunately marred by technical and audio difficulties. The singer recently received the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. The award is given to “young, talented songwriters who have made a significant impact on the music industry with their songs,” according to a press release accompanying the event. Solána Imani Rowe, 34, was the second black woman to receive the award, which was given to Alicia Keys 20 years ago.
