Steve Hogarth releases live album ‘SPQR’ on the way

Eight years after his last concert in Rome, the singer of Marillion Steve Hogarth he returned to the Eternal City for the recording of “SPQR”working again with the Italian band RanestRanewhich provided acoustic accompaniment with harp, mandolin, harmonium and tablas. For this concert the choir was also added Flowing Chords.

The album “SPQR” will be released on January 16, 2026 on earMUSIC. The album was recorded on 3 February 2024 at the Sala Sinopoli in Rome, Steve Hogarth he stated at the time: “It is with great pleasure that I can announce a return to Rome on Saturday 3 February 2024, to perform another concert, solo, and accompanied by the Romans RanestRane, in an attempt to revisit the chemistry we last had, in September 2015. In England we have a saying: ‘When you are in Rome…er…find yourself an incredible Italian band and play with them!'”.
