This is Hackett’s comment on the new song: “Circo Inferno is the most frenetic point of the narrative of this album… a call for help that comes from inside the vortex of a Dante’s circus, with swirling Phrygian stairs, a pounding saxophone, full of vocals and impetuous guitars…”
The new album was recorded at the Siren studio in the UK largely by Steve himself who handled the electric and acoustic guitars, 12 string, mandolin, harmonica, percussion, bass and vocals. Joining him are Roger King (keyboards, programming and orchestral arrangements), Rob Townsend (sax), Jonas Reingold (bass), Nad Sylvan (vocals), Craig Blundell (drums) and Amanda Lehmann on vocals. Also present again are Nick D’Virgilio and Hugo Degenhardt as guests on drums, Benedict Fenner on keyboards and Malik Mansurov on tar. Finally, Steve’s brother John Hackett is featured once again on flute.
