Come back for its fourth season “Via dei Matti n. 0“the Rai Cultura’s early evening strip, created and hosted by Valentina Cenni And Stefano Bollani and created by Ballandi.
From 16 December, every evening from Monday to Friday at 8.20pm on Rai3, the famous house of “Via dei Matti n. 0” will reopen its doors, releasing a musical universe made up of performances, improvisations, dialogues and duets with national and international guests.
In its management Stefano Bollanistill sitting at the piano, will have the role of narrator, a task he carries out with great irony, simplicity and “lightness”. In each episode his instrument will then be made available or he will meet with a guest artist with whom he will perform live music.
“The music – Valentina and Stefano tell us artistic couple and in life – is a fundamental element of our lives, capable of shaping us and influencing us more than we can imagine. It is a universal language that allows us to communicate by breaking down every barrier, be it linguistic, spatial or temporal. This is why we are thrilled to return and bring a piece of our world into people’s homes and to share with them the music that excites us, hoping that this experience that is so satisfying for us can also enrich the public that follows us a little.”
Each episode pays homage to a great musician: from Maurice Ravel to Joni Mitchell, through Bob Marley, John Coltrane and Elis Regina. The hosts will guide viewers through a personal narrative of musical history, touching on artists of all eras and styles. The story of their life, their aesthetics and their journey will be a pretext to explore new themes and perspectives, accompanying the audience on a musical journey full of anecdotes, curiosities and reflections.
As per tradition, each episode will end with the hosts who, at the piano, will greet the viewers with an original arrangement of songs from different musical traditions.
“When someone tells us that they have started to appreciate an artist they didn’t know before thanks to our program, or we discover that a child has started to play an instrument inspired by what they saw from us, it is an immense satisfaction. This is the real meaning of our work”.
