Standstill returns to the present with “If you have to die from something”

Stand still They return to the present with “Si de algo hay que muerte”, the first preview of what will be their long-awaited comeback album, “Life and work of a puppeteer”which will be released in January 2027.

“Life and work of a puppeteer” will mark Standstill’s return to music since they published “Inside the light” in 2013. But to hear it we will still have to wait a couple of months, except, of course, for “Si de algo hay que muerte”, a piece that they shared today in their final studio recording and that Enric Montefusco has been performing acoustically in the presentations of the graphic novel that accompanies the album and that was released a few weeks ago.

We continue listening to the usual band, but with new features in their sound and above all with a new storytelling that tells us about the lives of artists in general and musicians in particular.

Enric Montefusco (voice and guitar), Ricky Falkner (bass), Piti Elvira (guitar) and Ricky Lavado (drums), with Victor Valiente on keyboards, have transformed all the energy received upon their return to the stage into fourteen songs that talk about topics such as: What does it mean to be part of a band? What does artistic creation do? What about success? And about failure? Will we leave something important to offer? What will remain of each of us?

The concept is expanded in a graphic novel of the same name that Enric himself devised, Oriol Garcia Quera drew and Astiberri edited a few months ago.
