The video for “Streets of Minneapolis”, the Springsteen song

Springsteen sang again in Minneapolis

On Saturday he participated, together with Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers, in the No Kings Rally, the day of protest against the current American administration, singing the song in public for the third time: the first was in the city, at a concert organized by Tom Morello, a few days after its publication. Then last weekend he attended the “Democracy Now” event in New York, singing it again and performing with Patti Smith and Michael Stipe. So Saturday’s performance: here’s the video

The new tour with the E Street Band will start from Minneapolis tomorrow, March 31st: 19 dates in arenas and stadiums, which will end in an equally symbolic way in Washington on May 27th: the capital and the seat of government. In recent days Springsteen released a video which in the final part mentions “War”, a pacifist song that he dusted off in rehearsals, which he hasn’t played for 23 years which in ’86 became the first launch single from the “Live/1975–85” box, his first live album
