Snoop Dogg and Sting duet on the single “Another Part of Me”
A week after releasing “Outta da Blue” and a month after releasing “Gorgeous,” the Doggfather Snoop Dogg came back with “Another Part of Me“, a duet with Sting which is the latest single from his upcoming album, “Missionary.”
Produced by Dr. Dre and The ICU,”Another Part of Me” begins with a faux-live feel, with the audience clapping as he plays a rendition of “Message in a Bottle,” featuring the song’s iconic guitar riff.
Snoop then enters the scene with a full auto tune voice singing a melody inspired by the original by Policebefore getting into his rap flow.
After that, Sting gets his turn, and actually delivers a quasi-rap himself, with fast-flowing lines like “Time is present, I stay active, momma’s laughing when we’s rapping/ Millions stacking, look what happened, life just isn’t the same” (Time is present, I stay active, mom laughs when we rap) and the final, “Mmm, gotta get up out of my way/ Yeah, there’s no better time than today” (Mmm, gotta get out of my way).
“Another Part of Me” is the third single from “Missionary”, Snoop’s first album entirely produced by Dr. Dre since 1993’s “Doggystyle”. Released on Death Row, Aftermath and Interscope, the new album will be released on December 13th and will feature Eminem, 50 Cent, Method Man, Jelly Roll, the late Tom Petty and more.
Meanwhile, Snoop is busy with two upcoming shows: a showcase with Warren G, E-40, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and more, titled “Kings of the West,” taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles tomorrow (30 November); and a one-off performance at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, California on December 27.
As for Sting, he’s got a busy 2025 lined up with solo shows, concerts with Billy Joel and more.
