Sinead O'Connor's daughter sings 'Nothing Compares 2 U'
Last night a tribute concert was held at Carnegie Hall in New York in memory of two Irish singers who passed away last year: Shane MacGowanNovember 30, e Sinead O'Connor, on July 26. Proceeds from the concert benefited PEN America.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening occurred when O'Connor's daughter, Roisin Waterspaid homage to her mother by singing her best-known song, “Nothing Compares 2 U”, itself a cover of a Prince song.
Among other noteworthy performances regarding the repertoire of .Sinead O'Connor Bettye LaVette has sung “I Don't Want What IHaven't Got”, Cat Power he interpreted “The Body of an American” hey Resistance Revival Chorus “Thank You for Hearing Me”. of O'Connor's music. While Glen Hansard and Imelda May they proposed “Haunted” duet by MacGowan and O'Connor.
