Serena Brancale, Levante and Delia together in “Al mio Paese”
The gypsy returns home. Serena Brancale releases “Al mio Paese”, and this time the point is not just the music, but the meeting. A concept that, in reality, has always been part of his world: Brancale has been working for years on bridges, on connections between different genres, languages and identities. Here that bridge becomes even more evident. Together with Levante and Delia she sets up something that is not so obvious today: three women who truly collaborate, combine visions, listen to each other and build instead of competing (see the complicity between the three in the beautiful video). It’s not an appearance. It’s a balance. Each brings their own world without invading that of the others, and the result is a natural, credible fit. A hymn to the South, to the roots. The track is there the magnetic Puglia of Brancalebut also two different Sicilies that talk to each other: the most visceral and the most evocative. Three lines that meet and strengthen each other, without losing identity. “To my country” is a return that is not nostalgia, but energy. Home as a root, but also as a point from which to start. It smells of the south, of freedom, of long nights lived to the fullest. The song anticipates Brancale’s new album “Sacro”, out on April 10th, fresh from the last edition of the Sanremo Festival with “Here with me”. A work that expands this idea of connection even further: between intimate and collective, between spirituality and body, between writing and rhythm.
