Script announce the new album and a date in Italy

Script have announced the release of their new album “Satellites“, expected for next August 16th, via BMG. In conjunction with the announcement of the album, the band shared the first single, “Both ways“, available for listening from today – May 17th, and has confirmed the dates of a tour in the United Kingdom and Europe. The club tour will also bring the group back to Italy, where an appointment has been set for the next December 11th at the Fabrique in Milan.

As reported in a press release, following the loss of their bandmate and friend last year Mark Sheehanand how homage and respect towards him, the band strongly wanted to continue to carry forward what they had all built together over the years. Frontman Danny O'Donoghue thus returned to the studio and wanted to experiment and get involved again using, for example, an 808 and playing with R&B-inspired sounds, focusing on lively rhythmic sounds and writing together with Steve Robson (Rascal Flatts, Take That) and Wayne Hector (One Direction, Nicki Minaj) as well as, obviously, with bandmate Glen Power. What emerged is “Satellites,” a collection of utterly inspired songs that open the door to a new future for The Script, reminding us that even though Mark is no longer here physically, he remains a vital part of all they are and will be.
