Sanremo, Nicolò Filippucci: “I want to convey what I am”
“When they proclaimed my name as the winner I was very happy, I didn’t expect it“. In the aftermath of the victory in the “New Proposals” category at Sanremo 2026 with the song “Laguna”, after the clash with Angelica Bove, Nicolò Filippucci is “happy and excited”, he just feels “a little tired”, when he arrives as a guest of the Rockol Lounge, at Superluna.
“My goal this week was to really enjoy Sanremo and the one that includes all of Sanremo”, says the singer-songwriter, born in 2006: “So I’m happy, also because I managed to convey what I wanted with this song and I’m really happy with how it went.” He adds:
“I hope that this song has arrived for what it is, which obviously also includes my person, what I am, I always try to tell myself in a sincere way with my music”.
Is the Ariston stage really as terrible as even artists with long experience in Sanremo say? “More than terrible, the Ariston stage is much feared. From rehearsals to the evening, a lot changes, precisely on an emotional level. It’s probably the most important stage in Italy, so it has a certain effect. You only realize where you are when you’re on that stage. I definitely tried to tame myself, tame the emotion and anxiety. But I enjoyed it.”
With a participation in Amici in 2024 behind him and after releasing his first EP “Un’ora di Sicurezza”, Nicolò Filippucci is ready to release new music: “After Sanremo, after ‘Laguna’, there will be my new albumwhich we will announce shortly. And it will be a record full of things, especially new, unreleased things that I haven’t made myself heard yet”, he states: “Subsequently, there will be an event at the warehouses general on April 13th in Milan. And it will be my first actual concert. So I’m very excited, because it will be an opportunity to meet the public again, and to sing this new recording project.”

Staying on the topic of concerts, the young singer-songwriter adds: “The best concert of my life, so far, was Raye’s“, he says. He adds: “there are many concerts that I would like to see, by many international artists, but also many Italian artists. To give an example of an Italian artist, who perhaps there is more chance of seeing, I would say a concert by Giorgia. I’ve never seen a concert of his and it would be wonderful. I grew up with Giorgia’s songs.”
