Sam Fender announces new album “People watching”
After snippets of unreleased music and previews on social media, Sam Fender has officially announced the details of his new and third studio album. The album will be titled “People watching” and will be published next February 21st.
The English singer-songwriter produced the album together with bandmates Dean Thompson and Joe Atkinson over the course of two yearsworking first in London in 2023 with producer Markus Dravs and then earlier this year in Los Angeles with Adam Granduciel of War On Drugs. Just together with Granduciel, last week Fender revealed a preview of its new single, first preview Of “People watching” and out tomorrow, November 15th. From the same title as the album, the song was also revealed through gods passages of the text which read: “I people watch on the way back home/ Envious of the glimmer of hope/ Gives me a break from feeling alone/ Gives me a moment out of the ego”. It continues: “I used to feel so invincible/ I used to feel there was a world worth dreaming of/ Back of the gasworks screaming the song/ Just the beauty of youth would quell my aching heart”.

Last October the artist shared a live version of the upcoming single, performed live at the Boardmasters Festival on August 3rd.
“People watching”, which as already announced Sam Fender will also present live in Italy on the occasion of the upcoming tour Thursday 13 March 2025 to ChorusLife Arena in Bergamofollows the previous album “Seventeen going under“, his second work released in 2021 after “Hypersonic missiles” in 2019.
