Rosalìa is ill and cancels the concert at the Forum: the story

Rosalìa in the ambulance: “I’m better”

A first update: Rosalía is better. The singer was forced to stop after about an hour of concert that eveningposted a photo on social media showing her on the bed of an ambulance, with an IV in her arm: “I feel better. Thank you so much for all the love and understanding from those who were there. Thank you Milan”. The singer had played for about an hour, then interrupted the show, saying she had had food poisoning and had vomited backstage between one song and another.

No official communication from the promoter, although a statement from Live Nation is expected shortly, and will clarify the state of things, if there is talk of a possible refund – highly unlikely, given that there was an hour of concert. It is also very difficult to recover Rosalía’s “Lux Tour” date, however it has a very tight calendar until May 6th, the end of the European leg, before moving from the United States on June 4th. And the calendar of the Assago Forum is equally crowded..

As we told you in our report last night, the concert started 45 minutes late. Rosalía attempted to carry on with the live show. Then, at the end of the second act she came out, spoke to the audience and decided to suspend the concert.

Last night, about the concert, we wrote:

the rendering of what we could see until the suspension was magnificent, the ambition off the charts. What was on stage was, to all intents and purposes, a work of art (a little too baroque). A show, divided into acts, hybrid, stratified, which holds together opera, ballet, performance art and pop, constantly suspended between spirituality and flesh, between liturgy and rave. But precisely in this continuous tension, in his desire to always be something more, one of his limitations also manifested itself: an excess of quotations and superstructures which at times seemed to obscure what makes music true and spontaneous.
