Rockol Awards, Cesare Cremonini wins the “best Italian album”

In the context of Rockol Awards 2025, Rockol readers attributed to Cesare Cremonini the award for the “Best Italian Album” of 2025 thanks to his “Alaska Baby”. The singer-songwriter beat the other finalists in the triplet: “Orbit orbit” by Caparezza, and “Ma io sono calcio” by Annalisa. Cremonini’s victory was announced during the final awards ceremony on the evening of January 29, 2026, in the setting of Santeria Toscana in Milan, by the Rockol journalist Lucia Mora.

To constitute the panel of candidates voteable by readers, we took into consideration new albums and concerts/tours by Italian artists released or performed in the period from 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025.

“Alaska baby” (here is our review), released on November 29, 2024, two and a half years after “La girlfriend del futuro”, includes 12 songs and is produced by Cremonini himself together with Alessandro De Crescenzo and Alessio Natalizia. The title refers to the two-month trip to America, up to Alaska and the Arctic Circle, in the winter of 2023, which the singer-songwriter recounted on social media. At the presentation of the album, Cremonini said: “An album born on the border, in which once again I tried to overcome my limits. The most important theme of ‘Alaska Baby’ is that of rebirth. All the songs are linked to this thread. Redemption, forgiveness, reward, everything passes through the courage to love, something that we inevitably feel we deserve but which worries and scares us. We are all in need of this, of being reborn through love.”

Before the award, the award was presented to Cesare Cremonini “Best Italian tour” for readers goes to Vasco Rossi, the award “Best emerging artist” of 2025 according to the Rockol editorial team to Anna Castiglia. During the evening, in addition to awards from SIAE, NUOVOIMAIE and CartaCantaare also assigned the Live special prize 2025 to Bresh. and the “Best Artist” Award to Joan Thiele.
