Rockol Awards 2025: the triplets of the candidates for the final victory

Voting has closed to elect the winners of the Rockol Awards 2025 in the Best Italian Album and Best Italian Live categories. We are therefore able to provide you with the names of the musicians who compose the two triplets who will compete for the final victory in the two categories.

The winners of the public awards will be announced during the final event of the Rockol Awards 2025which will be held on the evening of January 29, 2026 at Santeria Tuscany 31in Milan. Anna Castiglia, Bresh, Joan Thiele and Matteo Alieno will play live at the evening. The event is open to the publicfree of charge: to participate you must book your free ticket at this link. Places for the public are limited: we therefore invite you to hurry with your reservations.

The title of “Best Italian Album” at the Rockol Awards 2025 will be disputed, in strictly alphabetical order: Annalisa, Caparezza, Cesare Cremonini. While the name of the artist who will take the title of “Best Italian Live” will come from one of the following candidates: Cesare Cremonini, Marco Mengoni, Vasco Rossi.

Voting began last November 24, 2025, and continued until January 18, 2026. From week to week, there was an alternation of musicians – there were 40 in each of the two panels – competing for the top positions. In the race between the best albums of the year, in the first partial ranking Caparezza was in the lead with his album “Orbit Orbit”, but in the third ranking Annalisa also took the lead with the album “Ma io sono fuoco” and Cesare Cremonini with “Alaska Baby”. As for the best live show of the year, our readers have gradually alternated Marco Mengoni and Vasco Rossi in the top positions.

We remind you that to constitute the panel of eligible candidates we took into consideration new albums and concerts/tours by Italian artists released or performed in the period from 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025.
Within this time frame, 40 albums and 40 concerts were selected by the Rockol editorial team. For the album category, only publications with new songs were considered. Reissues, special editions of albums originally released outside the period, live records, collections and EPs were not considered. For the concert section, however, both tours and single concerts were considered.
