Rihanna is back: the popstar is the new face of the Dior advert
There’s no sign of a new album. After all, Rihanna, who hasn’t released an album in eight years, as many as have passed since “Anti” (2016), has been clear: already two years ago, when everyone was wondering what had happened to her, she had made it known that she wanted to publish her new work only when she feels ready to do so. “In this period I’m thinking about my next project in a completely different way than how I would have liked to do it before. I think this new way suits me better, it’s much better for me. It’s authentic, it will be fun for me and it will relieve a lot of pressure”, she said. Two years have passed, but evidently the voice of “Umbrella” feels that the time for a return to the music scene is not yet ripe.
Meanwhile, she is back in the spotlight: she has been chosen as the face of the new fragrance “J’adore Dior”. Starring in a short film directed by Steven Klein, Rihanna replaces the historic face of the brand Charlize Theron. Here is the clip:.
In March, Rihanna returned to performing live after her performance at last year’s Super Bowl. The singer starred in a private event, the wedding of Anant Ambani, the son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani. She was reportedly paid a whopping nine million dollars for the performance.
