Red Hot Chili Peppers, a documentary about their story arrives
As reported by the US magazine Variety, i Red Hot Chili Peppers have authorized a Netflix original documentary chronicling the rise of a band made up of friends who grew up in the Los Angeles in the 80s. The film is directed by Ben Feldmanwith the contribution of, among others, the two Peppers Anthony Kiedis And Fleawill be titled “The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers” and will be visible on the platform starting March 20th.
In announcing the documentary, the director thanked the family of Hillel Slovakthe lead guitarist of Red Hot Chili Pepperswho died of a heroin overdose in 1988. Ben Feldman said, “At its core, this is a deeply relatable story, about the friendships that shape our identities, and the lasting power of bonds forged during adolescence. What’s less understandable, of course, is that those friends went on to create one of the greatest rock bands in history. I’m deeply grateful to the band and Hillel’s family for their trust and generosity, and to Netflix for helping bring this story to the world stage.”
