Queens Of The Stone Age release “Where The Goth Girls At?”
“Where The Goth Girls At?” It is the third single from the ninth studio album by Queens of the Stone Agewhich will officially be released on October 30.
“Perfect” It will be an album in which we will discover different sides of a band that we thought we knew them all about. And “Where The Goth Girls At?” It serves to give us an idea of what we are going to find in the album.
Inspired by the nostalgia of Josh Homme’s youth in a Palm Desert suburb, the song revolves around teenage love and the desire to impress others: “Watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving the older ladies goth makeovers, that’s when I knew that the only place I want to be is where the goth girls are. Teenage love, isn’t it cool?” Homme notes.
The video for the song reunites the band with the directors of the “Easy Street” video, Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolskiand features comedian Steve Agee, dancer and artist Scarlett Kapella, singer and actress Lou Lou Safran and members of the group.
Produced by Homme and band member Michael Shuman, “Perfect” will be available on CD and standard black vinyl at all retail outlets; on clear vinyl at independent stores; and in a limited Deluxe edition, available exclusively in the group’s and Matador’s online stores.
The album will include nine songs in total: “It’s Only Love”, “Insignificant Other”, “Where The Goth Girls At?”, “Mono”, “From The Cliff”, “Sunday”, “Easy Street”, “Phantom Limb” and “Run Away From The Mod”. At the moment, tour dates have also been confirmed, but mainly for the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan.
At the moment, dates have been announced for the group in the United States, a country in which they begin today, performing at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival. On this tour they will share the bill with bands like Foo Fighters, Primus, Tropical Fuck Storm and Interpol.
