Pino Daniele: initiatives in memory of the great artist
In 2025 there are two important anniversaries linked to Pino Daniele: the 10 years since his death (January 4) and 70 years from birth (March 19). The Pino Daniele Ets Foundation in recent years he has worked to preserve and spread the artistic and human legacy of the artist, remembering his extraordinary journey made of music, emotions, encounters and a boundless love for life and praising the value of the musical heritage, of his research and his many ideas to cherish, share and cultivate.
On the occasion of these two important anniversaries, the Foundation created the “70/10 Anniversary” seal, the distinctive brand that guarantees the authenticity and officiality of the initiatives dedicated to Pino Daniele which, starting from 2024, celebrate with depth and commitment one of the most beloved artists in music Italian (www.fondazionepinodaniele.org/anniversary). His music acts as a common thread between the activities and events, a cry of freedom and refuge for anyone seeking authenticity and beauty, always capable of stimulating people’s souls and creating a bridge between different cultures.
The first initiative he brings the “70/10 Anniversary” seal And MUSICANTE AWARD – Pino Daniele Awardthe Live Music Contest of pop rock music that offers young artists who study music, compose and perform their repertoire, a concrete opportunity to emerge and develop their careers. Sponsored by the Ministry of University and Researchthe contest has reached the second phase, that is the Live auditions that will be held on 28 and 29 January in the Sala Verdi of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
THE recording projects that boast the “70/10 Anniversary” seal I am the unreleased song “AGAIN” (Warner Music Italy), released digitally last November 29th and entered directly into 1st place in the EarOne Airplay, and the reprint”Musician 40th Anniversary Album”which celebrates not only the artistic scope of the album that marked Italian music in 1984, but also the creative process that lies behind each song. In Marchin the month of the 70th anniversary of his birth, the documentary film on Pino Daniele’s entire life will be released in cinemas titled “PINE” by Francesco Lettieri and Federico Vacalebre and produced by Greenlandia, Lucky Red and Tartare Film, while the Royal Palace of Naples will host the exhibition “Pino Daniele Spiritual”, produced by COR edited by Alessandro Daniele And Alexander Nicosia.
On September 18th in Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples “PINO È – IL VIAGGIO DEL MUSICANTE” will be held, a unique event show which will see on stage big names from the world of music and entertainment, many guests, artists, musicians, friends and colleagues to retrace the life and career of Pino Daniele, full of songs that have marked entire generations. The proceeds of the eventnet of production costs, will be donated to support pediatric oncology research and artistic training: scientific research will be supported financing the PREME project of OPEN Association of Pediatric Oncology and Neuroblastoma odvwhich aims to guarantee personalized and innovative care for children with cancer; thanks to the Pino Daniele Ets Foundation, however, scholarships and initiatives will be established to support young musical talents and combat educational poverty, promoting the language of music in the most fragile situations.
