Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, the return: “Romantico ma muori” is out

The record-breaking band that sold 1 million tickets for its concerts in one year, between 2022 and 2023, is back. Pinguini Tattici Nucleari have announced the release of their new single “Romantico ma muori”, scheduled for September 13th.

The band led by Riccardo Zanotti presents the song like this:

Romantico Ma Muori is a true song based on a fictional story, and it is dedicated to romanticism that, despite everything, doesn’t want to die. In fact, I hear phrases like “romanticism is dying” or “romantics don’t exist anymore” more and more often, so much so that for a while I thought it was true. Maybe because I live most of my life in Milan, a city that sometimes hides love under crowded sidewalks and construction work. Sometimes, to find the romanticism inherent in all things, you have to know how to stop and breathe. For example, I remember that one particularly difficult day, one of those days when you force yourself to go into the studio to write but then you don’t get any ideas, I gave up and went to the bar. There, with a cappuccino in my hand, I started looking out the window, looking for some inspiration, partly out of boredom and partly for exercise. At a certain point they arrived, two boys with a dog, a beautiful couple. Two that once someone would have called “punkabbestia”. They seemed to love each other without reservations, moving slowly and happily down the street with the confidence of those who have no idea where they are going. He held her hand with an unseen lightness, almost touching it, as they walked uncertainly down the sidewalk. I tried to read their lips, but I couldn’t, so I just tried to guess. I found it a very romantic scene in its simplicity, so I decided to make up a story about them and set it to music. I imagined them wandering on an endless journey, as if taking part in an eternal vacation far from the world and its rules. That’s where Romantic But Die was born.

“Romantico ma muori” is the first appetizer of the new album of the group, which in the summer of next year will return to perform in Italian stadiums with a new tour, “Hello World” (it should also be the title of the album). These are the dates:
