“Pictures of you”, the exhibition to remember Massimo Cotto
The Cathedrals of Art, a space within Le Cattedrali Relais in Valleandona (Asti), are the place where Massimo Cotto collected his collection of records, books and memorabilia. “Pictures of you” is open here, an interactive photographic exhibition born last spring from the collaboration between the photographer Henry Ruggeri and Cotto.
It is a multimedia journey in which the viewer, through the use of the smartphone and a free app (it is recommended to also bring earphones or headphones to better appreciate the experience), will be able not only to admire the images, but to learn curiosities and anecdotes of the artists portrayed thanks to the narration of Massimo Cotto, which will involve visitors even more in a multimedia environment. The augmented reality exhibition project is produced by Rebel House thanks to Notaway ® technology, the digital application for smartphones which is used for the first time in a photographic exhibition linked to music.
On display is a selection of 18 photographic works by the internationally renowned artist Henry Ruggeri, official photographer of Virgin Radio, taken of some of the greatest protagonists of the world rock scene, from AC/DC to the Ramones, via Bruce Springsteen, Depeche Mode , Linkin Park, Rolling Stones and others, which through augmented reality and artificial intelligence allows for an unprecedented immersive experience and gives us the storytelling of Massimo Cotto, in a series of video contributions that he had created specifically. A journey through the history of contemporary music with Massimo who “materialises” within Henry’s works.
The opening hours of the exhibition are available on the Instagram profile and on the Le Cattedrali page.
The project, which debuted last June, continues by will of Massimo’s family, to whom it is dedicated. “Pictures of you” is also a book, published by Gallucci, in all bookstores starting from November 8th. From the book, courtesy of the publisher, we have taken this gallery of shots.
