Pearl Jam: More European Shows Cancelled Due to Health Concerns
A few days ago, now close to the end of their summer tour in Europe, Pearl Jam had to cancel their show on June 29 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London “due to a health issue in the band”. Yesterday, in addition to remembering with a post on social media the victims of the Roskilde concert on June 30, 2000, Eddie Vedder and his friends had to announce the cancellation of two other dates, those originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 2 and Wednesday, July 3 in Berlin.
As a motivation, the announcement message shared on social media reads: “Despite the efforts, the band has yet to fully recover.”
The post went on to say: “The impact of this decision is not lost on us. We know that so many people have invested time, money and energy into getting tickets to see the band. It’s terrible to have to disappoint you. Not to mention the hard work of so many others to put on these shows. Please know that we never make decisions like this lightly and will always do what we can to reach everyone. We will do everything we can to reschedule.”
The dates of 6 and 8 July in Barcelona, 11 July in Madrid and 13 July in Lisbon currently remain in the European tour calendar, before the North American concerts.
