Paul Simon will tour Europe in 2026

In 2018 Paul Simon he had performed on a ‘Farewell tour’ and, thanks to serious hearing problems, the touring season seemed to have definitively ended for him. Surprisingly last spring instead he returned with the ‘Quiet Celebration Tour’56 live shows held in North America between April and August 2025. Now the announcement that next year will bring the ‘Quiet Celebration Tour’ also in Europe. Unfortunately no date is scheduled in Italy.

The American concerts of ‘Quiet Celebration Tour’ were structured by providing a first part in which the 84-year-old New York musician performed his most recent album in its entirety and in tracklist order, “Seven Psalms” (read the review here), published in 2023, and a second part of the concert in which he drew from his solo repertoire and, naturally, from the classics of Simon & Garfunkel.

After the publication of “Seven psalms” Paul Simon he had declared with regret of unable to go on tour to present the album due to severe hearing loss. Then, in 2024, he claimed to have recovered some hearing and hoped to return to performing. In 2025, hope has fortunately become reality. The ‘Quiet Celebration Tour’ it is played primarily with acoustic instruments and at a much lower volume. As explained by Simon: “I can hear my voice the way I want in the context of the music. If there’s drums or an electric guitar, it’s too loud and I can’t hear my voice.”
