Ozzy Osbourne releases new single with Billy Morrison
According to what was confirmed by those directly involved, after the exclusive shared by radio host Mark Strigl, the new single by Ozzy Osbourne and Billy Morrison, “Gods of Rock N Roll“, will make its global radio debut on the thematic station Ozzy’s Boneyard on SiriusXM Friday, January 17.
The upcoming single is presented as “a re-recorded version of the 2015 song, enriched by a 61-piece orchestra and a choir”, with the special participation of Billy Idol’s historic guitarist, Steve Stevens.
The original version of “Gods of Rock N Roll” was the album’s closing track “God Shaped Hole” of 2015, the second solo album by Morrison, who made his solo debut in 2008 with “Stimulator“. Ozzy collaborated with Billy Morrison again on “Crack Cocaine” for his third solo album, “The Morrison Project“, released in April 2024 and made with several guests, including also Billy Idol, DMC, Al Jourgensen, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Linda Perry, Tommy Clufetos And John 5.
“Crack Cocaine“ was the first new song to feature Ozzy on vocals since the release of his 2022 studio project, “Patient Number 9” (here is our review), which earned him two Grammy Awards for “Best Rock Album” and “Best Metal Performance”.
