Ozzy Osbourne died

Ozzy Osbourne is dead. This was announced by his family with a press release released by the main British agencies and newspapers. The Black Sabbath frontman – reads the note – “died surrounded by love”. “It is more sad than the words manage to transmit that we communicate that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne died this morning. We ask everyone to respect the privacy of the family”. His wife Sharon and children Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis signed. The causes of the death were not known, but the prince of darkness, who was 76 years old, had been sick for some time: in 2020 he had revealed that he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Starting from 2019, however, he had undergone a series of surgical interventions on the spine following a fall and in one of these a tumor had been found between two vertebrae: “I have a tumor. But if I can make a last concert I will die happy”.

Just a few days ago, on 5 July, Ozzy Osbourne had given his farewell to the scenes with a mega-concert at the Villa Park in Birmingham, his hometown. Renaded “Back to the Beginning”, “Return to the beginning”, the show had seen the participation of friends and colleagues such as Alice in Chains, Pantera, Tool, Slayer, Guns N ‘Roses, metallic. For the occasion, the Black Sabbath had also gathered.
