Oasis, the reunion: the monetization of nostalgia

Oasis, new availability of tickets. But the fans arise

The Oasis announce a new availability of tickets for the Reunion tour concerts, starting in ten days, on July 4, from the Cardiff’s Main Stadium. But fans arise. The reason? It concerns the ways in which those who were unable to buy one of the 1.4 million tickets for sale last August for the 17 tour concerts in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

With a shared post on their official social channels today, the Oasis have made it known that “while approaching the tour debut, the Oasis promoters could be able to sell a limited number of more tickets”, whose quantity will be stability “once the views” of the stadiums, when the stage is mounted. Extra tickets will be put on sale “in the next few days”. According to what was written in the post, the sales methods will be communicated to the subscribers of the Fanclub Oasismynet.

Many fans have not taken it very well. They are the ones who had already managed to buy tickets for the Reunion tour last August, whose sale was marked by many technical problems given the many simultaneous accesses to the sites reserved for presales. “I have been a fan of the Oasis since I have been buying their albums, I have been to the concert at the Maine Road in Manchester, at the Eyhiad Stadium, I have been to see Liam Gallagher and Pure Noel twice. I deserve a ticket? No. But the people who do not even know ‘Wonderwall’ can buy four,” wrote a fan under the X post on the band. “Porca misery, we like again. Other pre -cooked, collapses and computer shit. I will never find out why all this matter of the purchase of tickets is not simplified and modern”, wrote another. And another one: “I can’t wait to not be able to even have these tickets”.
