Oasis: “Morning Glory” as you have never heard it

Waiting for the two concerts that will see them again on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 to perform in the United Kingdom, at the Wembley stadium in London, with the tour of their reunion, the Oasis published an unprecedented version of “Morning Glory” which anticipates the release of the reprint of “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. It is a “unplugged” version of the song that gave the title to the 1995 album, which will return to stores on October 3 in the form of a large reprint designed precisely for the thirtieth anniversary: ​​you can listen to it below.

Is that of “Morning Glory” just one of the five new unplugged versions of some of the songs contained in “(What’s the story) Morning Glory?” who will appear in reprint. In addition to “Morning Glory”, there will also be those of “Cast No Shadow”, “Wonderwall”, “Champagne Supernova” and “Foiecesce”, the latter already published last July. The new Unplugged versions were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho, starting from the original masters, in the Noel study, Lone Star Sound in London.

“(What’s the story) Morning Glory?”, Released October 2nd 1995, is one of the most important albums of the 90s, a milestone of the Britpop. Second Oasis album, it was released for the first time by Creation Records and launched the band to worldwide success by including Hit loved all over the world as “Wonderwall”, “Don’t look back in Angers”, “Champagne Supernova”, “She’s Eeectric” and “Roll With It”.

“(What’s the story) Morning Glory?” He came out just 14 months after the surprising “Defintely Maybe”, considered one of the most influential debut albums, and had an enormous international success, winning the Best British album award at the British Awards of 1996, selling over 22 million copies in the world, of which 6 million only in the United States, becoming the third studio album in all times of all time in the United Kingdom. In addition, on the occasion of the National Album Day, the most listened to streaming of the 90s was proclaimed, followed by “Defintely Maybe” in second place.

The exclusive limited edition reprint includes 2 CDs and 3 LPs. It includes a new cover with a photograph by designer Brian Cannon and new cover notes. Exclusive colored vinyl formats will be available: Amazon will propose the 3 LPs in cuttlefish marble inspired by “Wonderwall”, while the official Oasis store will offer the 3 LPs in orange neon inspired by “acquiesce”. All formats will contain the 2014 remastered version of the album together with the new Unplugged versions.
