Fabrizio Paterlini, the new “Layers” arriving in November

Fabrizio Paterlini announces a new album: it is titled “Layers” and will be released on November 14th for Mast Release / Memory Recordings. The disc will be anticipated by the single “Silent Remains”, available from September 26th.

The project comes after “Attitude”, album of re-elaborations on the plane of classic rocks of rock and the 90s grunge: it marks a change of approach for the Mantuan pianist: “Layers” is built on live-looping sessions and on live interaction with two collaborators, Marco Remondini (cello) and Stefano Zeni (violin). Tells the pianist

«Layers is in all respects a album of mine, the songs are written by me, the structure is mine and the electronics is also entirely managed by me. The novelty, however, is that for the first time I chose not to write the parts of the other tools too: I wanted Marco Remondini (cello) and Stefano Zeni (violin) to have white paper to develop their lines, bringing their voice and sensitivity inside. This made a truly unique mixture possible, which breathes shared energy without distorting my compositional identity ».

In over 15 years of career, Paterlini has released more than ten albums, totaling over 250 million streams. His best known songs include “Waltz” and “Rue des Trois Frères”. In 2016 he founded his Memory Recordings label, and among its recent publications there are the album “River” (2023), the “Attitude” cover project and the digital collection “Summer Stories”.
