Oasis in Rome? The councilor: “We need to make sure they don’t argue”

Rumors have been circulating for months, including rumors and fake news, about a possible visit by Oasis to Italy. First the rumors about the two shows at San Siro, then Rome. Already a few months ago, Alessandro Onoratocouncilor for major events, sport, tourism and fashion of the Eternal City, had expressed his opinion on the issue; now, pressed by the editorial staff of “Un Giorno da Pecora”, he has returned to the age-old Gallagher issue in the capital.

We hope so, it’s not easy, it’s an economic issue. First of all, we need to make sure that the Gallagher brothers don’t argue and I mean this seriously: they have to finish an international tour, then develop Europe and then understand if they come to Italy. It doesn’t cost us in the sense that if it’s ‘per ticket’, for a fee, we earn money by giving our location. But every location has a cost and, for example, some places in Milan cost less than in Rome.

Onorato’s speech on Radio1 therefore neither denies nor confirms, but reiterates that it’s too early in order to proceed with some concrete proposal or agreement. Should peace between the Gallagher brothers persist, however, councilor Onorato has already revealed that he has made both the Circus Maximus and the Olympic Stadium available.
