Oasis have learned not to look at the past with anger

No, Oasis Won’t Play Glastonbury 2025

Oasis will not be playing at Glastonbury Festival 2025, as many media outlets had speculated in recent days. The official confirmation came from Noel and Liam Gallagher themselves with an Instagram story that was immediately spicy: “Contrary to media speculation, we will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festival. The only way to see the band live will be on their world tour.” In the meantime, given the high demand for tickets (sales will open on Saturday 31 August when tickets will be available online on participating and authorised sales circuits), it is possible to register on the group’s official website to take part in a draw, complete with quiz, which will allow you to gain early access to the sale. Registration for the draw is open from the evening of 27 August and will close at 8pm Italian time on Wednesday 28 August. Applicants will be selected for pre-sale through a random draw.

Everyone will receive an email confirming successful registration and the lucky ones drawn on the morning of Friday the 30th will receive an email with a code to try to purchase tickets in advance. As mentioned, the email for the lucky draw will not guarantee tickets and the winners will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. How do you get to the bottom of it? After entering your name, surname, city, telephone number and email address, you will be asked how many times you have seen an Oasis live show. It is clearly specified that this has no value in the final draw, so feel free to tell the truth. Then comes the first and only question for the quiz: “Who was the first drummer of Oasis?”. There are three options: 1) Chris Sharrock; 2) Tony McCarroll; 3) Alan White. The correct answer is Tony McCarroll, co-founder of the group and drummer until 1995, when Alan White was called in his place.
