Nick Mason: photos of his 200 million car collection

Nick Mason’s passion for vintage cars is known to the fans of Pink Floyd: the former drummer of the legendary British band has spoken several times over the years. Also revealing that on certain occasions his collectible cars were somehow of great help to Pink Floyd, as when in 1987 he gave his Ferrari Gto 250 in 1962, purchased at an auction in 1977, an estimated value in 52 million dollars, to allow the group to finance the “Momentary Laps of Reason Tour”. Now Nick Mason has decided to open the doors of his team Ten Tenhs to visitors, in the midst of the English countryside, in which he holds this collection of over 60 vintage racing cars – total value estimated at 200 million pounds, or 240 million euros – collected here and there in the most important gatherings and competitions in the world.

It happened this weekend, when Mason and his wife Anette opened the gates of the stable to visitors, which hosted the Middlewick House Open Garden, described as “a Mecca for car clubs and owners of Jaguar, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lotus, Maclann, Bugatti and Porsche”. Among the models shown, in addition to Ferrari 250 GTO, also the 512s which was used in the making of the film “Le Mans” by Steve McQueen, before being seriously damaged by a fire and then completely restored, An F40, a GTB/4 Daytona, a 1953 Ferrari 250mm and a hybrid laferrari.
