Nick Cave is behind the Florence & the Machine album

Without Nick Cave, Florence and the Machine’s latest album would not have seen the light of day. Or, at least, it would have been different. This was said by Florence Welch, who publicly thanked the Australian singer-songwriter for helping her complete “Everybody scream”. In a new Rolling Stone interview about the album, the singer revealed that Cave offered her support and advice during the writing process, and she credited him with helping her finish the record: “Nick Cave was so kind to me,” Welch says. “Nick and Susie Cave were wonderful, kind friends. I sent Nick some of my poems and he he helped me correct some of them“.

Welch then added that they kept in touch regularly both during the writing process and when the pressures of touring put her in difficulty. “I would email him about the stress of touring, and he would respond so kindly. As an artist who puts his body into performances, he understood what I was going through. He’s an incredibly wonderful human being,” she said.
