Neil Young: "What does the "M" mean in MTV: music or money?"

Neil Young supports Kamala. And Trump goes to Coachella

For Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate in the presidential elections which on November 5th, in less than a month, will indicate the name of the new president of the United States of America, an endorsement also arrives from Canada: it is that of Neil Young. The 78-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter wrote in a post on his official website: “Kamala is an honest, forthright person who tells the truth, has White House experience, is free from ambiguity or evasiveness, and gets straight to the point. It’s thereucida, young enough to hold the position for a couple of brilliant terms. Kamala Harris is a good person who is not afraid to confront criminals and enforce the law of the United States. She is my candidate for the future of this great country.”

In August, Young gave Harris’ running mate Tim Walz permission to use his “Rockin’ in the free World” on the campaign trail after suing Donald Trump over his use of it . It was 2020 when Young filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the American tycoon for having used the same “Rockin’ in the free World” at his rallies without having had the author’s permission to do so.

Stevie Wonder also sided with Kamala Harris. The American black music star agreed to appear in a promotional video shared by the Democratic candidate herself on her social channels: “I am very happy for the future. I am very happy because I know and believe that Kamala will be the next president of these United States – says Wonder in the video – it is a wonderful woman. And he did his job consistently.”

Meanwhile, on Saturday Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, held a rally in a Californian city. Not just any city, but the city of Coachella, which every year hosts the music festival considered one of the most anticipated and followed gatherings in the world. Trump spoke of California as a “lost paradise” and said: “We will not let Kamala Harris do to America what she did to California.”
