Neil Young: ‘As Time Explodes’ video attacks US oligarchs

Neil Young he has no peace with the direction that the new America has taken, so he published a video called “As Time Explodes”where he attacks and denounces once again Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk.

In the video you can see a montage in which a series of news clips are linked together to criticize the Trump administration and the power granted to technology billionaires. The images are not accompanied by words only by the sound of the Canadian musician’s guitar that hints at the song
“Be The Rain”
included in

This isn’t the first time
Neil Young
uses his platform to take a political stand. In January 2022, he announced that he would remove his music from
Spotify
after a few episodes of the controversial podcast by
Joe Rogan
had spread misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines (at the time, the podcast of
Joe Rogan
was under exclusive contract with
Spotify
). Earlier this month, he confirmed that he would be removing his discography from
Amazon Music
and called on his fans to boycott companies like

Amazon, Meta
And
Whole Foods
. He had also deactivated his accounts
Facebook
and Instagram due to its alleged “reckless use of chatbots with kids”.
Half
and by 2023 he had dropped out
X/Twitter
after
Elon Musk
appeared to have endorsed an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. On his site at the time, Young wrote: “We are discontinuing all of our use of X. For reasons that should be obvious to even the richest man in the world, we are making this decision against his company.”
