Neil Young cancels entire European tour

Neil Young, a legendary concert with Pearl Jam is coming

A confirmation that fans of Neil Young and Pearl Jam have been waiting for over thirty years: the complete publication of one of the most legendary tours of both, the one following the release of “Mirror Ball”, in which the Seattle band supported the Canadian rocker – and in particular of the Dublin show of 26 August 1995, one of the true “holy grails” of Young’s fans, professionally recorded in audio and video, until now only circulated in clips and now destined to see the light in next box of the Archives.

Neil Young has confirmed that the complete recording of the concert with Pearl Jam on August 26, 1995 in Dublin will be published as part of “Archives Volume 4”. So far only the video for “Throw Your Hatred Down” had been officially released, but an entire recording of the concert is circulating among fans, of which a complete official recording is also known to exist.

The fourth volume of the “Archives” is still being compiled and will cover the period 1987–2004. Like its predecessors, it will include previously unreleased performances, rare recordings and footage. “Mirroball” on the other hand was republished last November, the days in which Neil Young turned 80, in the 6th volume of the “Official Release Series Discs”, i.e. the reprints of 4 albums from the early ’90s, republished on vinyl and CD and gathered in one box. With “Sleeps With Angels” (dedicated to Kurt Cobain) and “Mirror Ball”, Young reclaimed the title that had been assigned to him, that of “Godfather of Grunge”. From the same sessions came “Merkinball,” the EP released by Pearl Jam with two songs — “I Got ID” and “Long Road.”

Neil Younh recently canceled his European tour, which would have marked his return to our country after 10 years: “I have decided to take a break and this time I will not be on tour in Europe. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but this is not the time. I love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts”: The two Italian concerts of ‘Love Earth Tour 2026’ were scheduled for July 14th Lucca Summer Festival (Historical Walls Area) and on 16 July Villa Manin to Codroipoin the province of Udine. Neil Young was supposed to perform with Chrome Hearts composed of Spooner Oldham (keyboards), Micah Nelson (guitar, backing vocals), Corey McCormick (bass, backing vocals), Anthony LoGerfo (battery) e Neil Young (vocals, guitar, piano).
