6 years after “Desert Yacht Club” (2018), their latest workand five from the single “Andalusia” (2019) Friday, September 27th they come back Negrita with “There are no innocents my friend” the first single from a new Recording project Coming out in 2025 on Universal.

The band comments on the song as follows:

“There Are No Innocents My Friend” It was entirely written and composed on Easter Day 2024 but resurrections and saints have not been seen in the city. We live in increasingly complex, confused, violent and poisoned realities. Understanding has become difficult, finding the truth is downright impossible. The mainstream music today is struggling, it slips away, it does not criticize. It prefers more comfortable, hedonistic, self-referential, stereotyped and courageless positions, often reducing itself to a banal soundtrack of a society that has chosen image and appearance above all else. Negrita, drawing heavily on the solidity of their musical roots, want to break away from this climate, react and go against the trend. NON ESISTONO INNOCENTI AMICO MIO is the first extract from a collection of songs of an undoubtedly folk nature, of Dylanian memory too, which then grew in the atelier of an Italian RnR band. This folk, popular essence cannot avoid considering the text, the message, as one of the fundamental components of the work, repositioning Negrita, 6 years after their last album, among the national musical outsiders, impervious to the fashions of this time by choice and conviction. The song will be played live for the first time during the concert event in Milan, at the Unipol Forum on September 27th. In addition to making people listen the new unreleased, the Arezzo band will travel with the public through three decades of hits, memories and melodies that have characterized rock in Italy. The setlist will include all the hits of their career and some surprises, reflecting not only the musical history of Negrita, but also their evolution and their constant commitment to exploring new musical horizons.
