Nayt: “I’m not the hero who can save you, it’s you”
From Fabri Fibra’s “Stupid Ideas”.one of the best pieces taken from “Traditio” in 2006, to those “Certain lies” by Nayta new single that perfectly photographs the lyrical and sound world of the Roman artist. The song anticipates “Lettera Q”, Nayt’s new album due out at the end of the month, on November 22ndand it is a faithful portrait of the reality in which we live and the doubts that assail us every day. “This song is a set of memories, thoughts, voices that arrive, leave and return mixed with others. Everyone knows how to pretend that everything is fine, because the freedom you want comes at a cost that many aren’t willing to pay. The underlying message of the track for the artist is that, although certain lies may defend us, we will succeed save ourselves only by starting from ourselves”, we read in the presentation.
It’s a rap songaccompanied by a video shot inside a historic villawith elegant sounds, a beat that fills and empties depending on the words and on which drums and guitar are insertedwhich have the flavor of a real, tangible sound. Through careful work on the verses, the artist manages to discover and reveal truths, pushing the listener to stop, reflect, and really feel. A research which, combined with his voice, conveys a sense of awareness, managing to make its way through thoughts and giving people the opportunity to stop and truly pay attention. “I’m not the hero who can save you, it’s you”or “You swear you have things to say, but no one believes you. The songs are insipid and it shows in the audience. And I too, am neither Battisti nor Battiato. And I say things I’ve already heard and not even that well. Sin”, or even “I’m not Fabri Fibra, I’m not Primo, sometimes I even hate my signature when I write it. I once loved so hard that I felt small. Another even more so as to feel infinite” are some of the significant parts of the song, which demonstrate once again the strength of the pen by the artist born in 1994.
Precisely in this last juncture we clearly hear flow’s reference to Fibra’s “Idee stupide”another beautiful song about awareness. In what will be the new album Nayt addresses issues ranging from the relationship with society and the female world, up to the relationship between generationspast, present and future. The result is an open dialogue that invites personal and collective growth, in a conversation that goes beyond monologue and rejects imposition. The album’s tracklist has also been revealed (which will be presented with an ad hoc tour scheduled for March and April next year), within it there are also collaborations in “If you run” with Ernia and the one with the delicate voice of the emerging artist Scotland in the song “Monalisa”.
