Musicultura, this year’s eight winners
The final phase of the 37th edition of Musicultura will take place in Macerata from 16 to 20 June. The hosting of the two final evenings of the show, on stage on 19 and 20 June, is entrusted for the second consecutive year to Carolina Di Domenico and Fabrizio Biggio. The guests on the bill confirmed to date, who we will see on the Sferisterio stage, are Brunori Sas, Tosca, Planet Funk, Le Vibrazioni, Maria Antonietta & Colombre, Riccardo Rossi, Santamarea, Giampaolo Morelli, Alan Sorrenti.

The winners of Musicultura emerge from a long selection process that began last November with the screening of the 2,656 songs (absolute record) entered in the Competition. The listening took over three months, the 60 proposals that appeared most deserving were called to perform live in front of the public during the Live Auditions: 10 sold out evenings at the L. Rossi Theater in Macerata (5,000 spectators), with over 2 million views of the streams. At the end, the artistic direction of Musicultura proclaimed and officially presented the 16 finalist artists during two concerts at the Persiani Theater in Recanati, broadcast live by Rai Radio1 and in streaming by Rainews.it. The compilation of the finalist songs is now available on all major digital platforms.
The eight winners were designated by the prestigious Artistic Committee of Guarantee of Musicultura, whose first signatories were Fabrizio De André and Giorgio Caproni in 1990, and which in this XXXVII edition is composed of: Francesco Amato, Enzo Avitabile, Claudio Baglioni, Diego Bianchi, Francesco Bianconi, Maria Grazia Calandrone, Giulia Caminito, Luca Carboni, Guido Catalano, Ennio Cavalli, Carmen Consoli, Simone Cristicchi, Gaetano Curreri, Teresa De Sio, Cristina Donà, Giorgia, Mariangela Gualtieri, Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina (The List Representative), Ermal Meta, Mariella Nava, Susanna Nichiarelli, Piero Pelù, Vasco Rossi, Ron, Tosca, Paola Turci, Roberto Vecchioni, Sandro Veronesi and Margherita Vicario.
In Macerata, between 16 and 20 June, the winners will have the opportunity to present themselves, always strictly live, in multiple contexts and locations in the city. It will be the democratic test of the public vote at the Sferisterio that will decide, at the end of the two evenings of shows at the Sferisterio on 19 and 20 June, the overall winner of Musicultura 2026, who will receive the 20,000 euros from the Banca Macerata Prize.
The “Piero Cesanelli Critics’ Plaque” (€3,000), the “New Imaie Award” (€10,000) for the creation of a tour, the “Award for the best text” (€2,000), the “Grotte di Frasassi Award” (€2,000), which also includes a residency and an artistic restitution, will also be awarded. site specific of the winner at the Frasassi Caves, within one of the most spectacular karst complexes in Europe, in the heart of the Marche region.
For the third year, the “La Casa in Riva al Mare Award” will also be awarded (€2,000), the special recognition given to one of the eight winners by a jury of inmates of the Barcaglione prison in Ancona. The project, promoted by the regional guarantor of human rights – Marche, Giancarlo Giulianelli, was reported in 2024 as best practices by the Ministry of Justice, Penitentiary Administration Department.
The evening shows at the Sferisterio on 19 and 20 June will become a television program, signed by Matteo Catalano, with the collaboration of Carolina Catalano and directed by Duccio Forzano. The special will be broadcast on Rai 1 in the late evening on 13 July, with Rai Italia broadcasting it internationally.
Rai Radio1, present in Macerata with Marcella Sullo, Duccio Pasqua and John Vignola, will make connections and a radio special containing the best of the two evenings of entertainment. An integrated editorial plan will coordinate all social activities. The story and analysis of the 37th edition of the festival will be completed by Rainews24 and TgR, with live broadcasts, reports and features.

The Controra
La Controra is the offshoot of the festival which from 16 to 20 June will take place in squares, courtyards and buildings in the historic center of Macerata, with concerts, presentations, meetings and exhibitions all freely open to the public. The guests on the bill include Ermanno Cavazzoni, Fabio Concato, Paola Turci, Francesco Sarcina, Stefano Dal Bianco, Susanna Nicchiarelli, John Vignola, Carlo Latini, Donato Caporalini, Giampaolo Morelli and Gloria Bellicchi, Ibisco, Abat-Jour, Tosca, Brunori Sas. With them the winners of Musicultura 2026.
