MMW24: who is Ethan, live at “GenZ Stage”

Also for the 2024 edition of the Milan Music Week, Rockol presents for the third year the “GenZ Internship“, an evening of live music with 7 emerging artists of the Italian music scene, without distinction of genre, in one of the most famous venues in Milan.

The event is realized in collaboration with TuneCore Italia and is scheduled for Thursday 21 November at 9.30pm at the Ronin.

Among the artists who will perform are Montag, Anna Castiglia, The Snookers, Klaus Noir, Ethan, Niveo and Chyky. Let’s get to know them more closely, one by one.

Ethan

Queer Italian-Brazilian artist, born in ’98, Ethan absorbed his parents’ passion for music from an early age, discovering black music thanks to his mother and the great myths of Brazilian Bossanova through his father’s influence. At 18 he left to study first at the Pasolini workshop in Tosca, Rome, and then at the Jam Academy in Lucca. After the release of his first EP in English “Flawed Guy” (Supernova Dischi), in 2021 he moved to Milan to “give me the chance to be what I have never been”. Here he publishes “Idiosyncrasy”, his first EP in Italian. Here comes the meeting and signing with Carousel Records which leads the artist to release his EP “Young heart”, produced by the JackLeg collective.

After a series of summer live dates, currently he is working on the creation of his next recording project. An album that will be influenced by baile funk atmospheres, R&B, experimental electronic sounds and hardcore.

As his biography tells, the live dates, including those at Milano Pride, Dolomiti Pride, Rarìfest (Puglia Pride), Canta Pride (Roma Pride), MIX Festival and Pride Park (Napoli Pride), saw him perform sharing with the public that need to get to know each other and dialogue about their sensations and visions of the world, because “we are the same shit”: love is love, pain is pain. That is: a different way of saying that ultimately we are all the same.
