Metallica: two fans arrested who climbed a tower during the show
On the occasion of the concert that Metallica held in Perth, Australiaeverything seems to have happened. During the rehearsals of the show the frontman James Hetfield dressed up as a kangaroo and played “For whom the bell tolls”, together with bassist Robert Trujillo wearing a bib and construction helmet. During the actual live show, however, two spectators became the protagonists of a stunt that ended badly.
On the sidelines of the first date of the Australian tour of the “M72 World Tour”, two fans were filmed climbing a tower connected to a platform near the center of Perth’s Optus Stadium and equipped with huge sound systems. According to what was reported by the newspaper “The West Australian”, the two men, identified as a twenty-year-old from Bunbury and a twenty-three-year-old from Australind, they were arrested shortly afterwards by the Western Australian police and accused of trespassing on private property, and for this they will subsequently have to appear in court.
After the series of concerts in Australia, Metallica will perform in New Zealand on November 19th, before finishing the year with shows in Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. The band will then return to Europe and the UK in the summer of next year.
